Welcome to "New Yorker in Ukraine."
Lived in New York for 8+ years, rented 3 apartments, worked 5 jobs, survived one divorce and one marriage, walked everywhere in high heels, ate uncountable street hot dogs, took subway anytime of the day or night, learned not to be scared of rats and cockroaches, and not to be upset with tourists blocking my way...
Subway ride: $2.25, Shoes: $525, rent: $3,300.00, being able to call yourself a New Yorker: PRICELESS.
You can take a girl from New York, but you can't take New York from her...

every snow has its city
The snow is falling on Kiev.
Big snowflakes are softly dancing in the air.
That makes everything look mysterious, not like it was needed-Kiev is already one mysterious city.
I invented a theory that, snow is different in every city. In fact, I think when snow is falling on right city it makes everything right.
No panic, no delays, no broken legs, no traffic jams-just beautiful scenery. Beautiful and calm.
I call it a right snow, as an opposite to a wrong snow, that holds us at the airports, covers our cars with big thick white muffins, makes our eyes teary and noses runny, hands and feet cold as ice. The wrong snow is such a hassle.
But if the same wrong snow fell on different city it could be, as nice as this one I photographed few weeks ago.
Every city has its snow, and every snow has its city.
It's a love/hate story.
I don't know, if it's a matter of luck, or there's something more to it...Maybe the snow is looking for a city to fall over, and the city is waiting for it. If the snow hears that call from below and the city welcomes it from above -then magic happens.
This snow is a right one and it has definetely found its city.
